Meet the Team

Elaine Dawson

Elaine qualified in 1999 from the Adelaide and Tallaght University Hospital. After qualifying she spent three years working in Australia in rural and urban hospitals across a range of settings. On return to Ireland, she graduated from the Public Relations of Ireland with a Higher Diploma in PR and from Trinity College Dublin with an Honours Degree in General Nursing and later with Post Graduate Specialist Certificate in Health Promotion from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Experience has been gained across a range of specialities including High Dependency Nursing, Diabetes Nursing and in Diabetes Research She now works as Practice Nurse and as a 3rd level University Health Care Nurse. Special areas of interest include Chronic Disease Management and Women’s Health. Elaine is a Registered Cervical Smear Taker, Sexually Transmitted Infections Foundation Course Certified, IFPA Contraception Course Certified and has attended the National Immunisation Training Programme.
